The wooden church of Sacalseni is typical of Maramures. it was built in 1725. It is now open to the public only once a year, for the religious ceremonies of August 15th. It is however possible to visit it. There are interior paintings dating from 1825, embroidery made by the women of the village, Orthodox liturgical objects. It is a 2-minute walk from the campsite.
